Kidlet & Dad

I bought some adorable felt magnets off of Etsy and kidlet is just in love with the dang things. They're very sturdy and durable, so I have no fear of his mangling them. The moment I opened the package he ran off with them, and fifteen minutes later I entered the kitchen to see this:

Another chapter out of the book of Things My Two-Year-Old Does That Amaze Me. Not only did he line them up, but he turned them so their faces were right-side up.

Then he came in and told about them, showing me each one...

...even kissing one of them.

I love how expressive his face is.

After he was done, he carefully lined them up on the floor.

Needless to say, the magnets were a big hit.

Here's a couple of kidlet and Daddy goofing around.

Kidlet = Not Amused.

Say CHEESE!

I was looking on Snapfish to see if I could find any pics of my mom's kitchen, and while doing so ended up browsing a bunch of old photos of kidlet from 2003-2004. Here's a sampling for your entertainment. It's amazing how much he has changed in such a short time, he looks so babyish in these.

This is from before Michael could walk, he was only cruising at this point (9 months?).

Crazy hair! This is one of those photos that he will be moritifed that I show to people.

This hat doesn't even fit him any more.

I will listen to The Cure today in honor of this picture.

OMG my whole life - it's right here.

xmas fotos

And now a break for some pictures of kidlet in the snow over Tgiving weekend in CT...

At first he wasn't too happy to be dressed up to go outside.

Then he got outside and realized that there was snow everywhere!

Snow is very interesting...

and tasty!

Pitchers

Just got a bunch of pictures developed, prepare yourself for cuteness!

Over Labor Day weekend we went to CT to visit Grandma and Grandpa and while we were there we went to the childrens' museum.

My boys (note the backpack):

I can't imagine why anyone would mistake my son for a girl...?

I love this picture - I don't think kidlet was too sure about the snake.

Poor kidlet had a black fly bite on his head that took forever to heal.

I took this picture at home, whenever I get closeups of Michael I can totally see what he's going to look like when he grows up...

*sob*

At tgiving we were in CT again and kidlet's schedule was thrown completely off. This is from arriving back home after a day of playing in the snow, then going to the mall, then going out to eat...

I did manage to get his pants, coat, and shoes off of him at the very least. He didn't even stir.

This was taken back in September, I think...we had played blocks with kidlet before but he had never built anything on his own other than a tower. I walked into the extension one afternoon and found that he had built this:

I don't know why it impressed me so much, I guess it's because it actually looks like something. Michael deliberately placed everything and it gives me a glimpse into the thought process behind it.

These two are very recent...every once in a while I take a couple of pictures (out of, like, 2-3 rolls) that I think are pretty good. I want to get these enlarged and framed so I can bring them to work.
